# Addresses, cities and phone

> Pick a country, a city, an address or your location, and enter a phone number with its country code: the same pickers everywhere in DriveGo.

Wherever DriveGo asks you for a place or a number, you find the same pickers: country, city, address and phone. On a phone, each picker opens full screen with a search; on a computer, it opens under the field. The search ignores accents and capitals: "fes" finds Fès.

## Where you meet them

## Steps

1. Tap the field (for example **Pick-up location** or **City**). The picker opens.
2. Type a few letters in the search, or scroll through the list.
3. Tap a line to choose it. The field shows your choice and the picker closes.
4. For a place near you, tap **Use my location**, then **Continue** or allow it in the sheet that explains why DriveGo asks for your position.
5. For a number, check the country code (+212 by default), then type the number without it.

## The pick-up location (country and city)

**After the action:** the **Pick-up location** field shows your choice, for example "Casablanca"; the search and the car counter take it into account.

## Choose a city

**Choose a city picker**

**After the action:** the chosen city shows in the field. If no city matches: "No city for “…”".

Morocco is shown whole: Laâyoune and Dakhla are among Morocco's cities.

## Search for an address and use your location

**Search an address picker**

**After the action:** the address shows in the field. If your position cannot be found: "Location not found. Turn location on or type the address."

Before your position is used for the first time, a sheet explains it: **Use your location?** "DriveGo uses your location once to fill in the address for you." and "Your location is not stored or shared unless you act." Tap **Continue** so that the browser asks for permission, or **Not now**. If location is blocked, the **Location blocked** sheet tells you to allow it in your browser settings, or to type the address.

## The phone and its country code

**After you save:** the number is checked when you leave the field. Possible messages: "Enter a phone number.", "Number too short.", "Number too long." and "This number is not valid for Morocco."

The phone is optional at sign-up ("Optional. Useful for pick-up reminders.") but required for some actions, for example signing in by phone or booking step 3.

## What happens next

- The city chosen on the home screen stays the city of your next searches until you change it.
- A pick-up address goes to the agency with your booking; an employee hands you the car at that place.
- Your position is only used when you tap **Use my location**. It is neither saved nor shared.

## Troubleshooting

| "No city we serve is near you. Pick one from the list." | No city where DriveGo operates is near your position. | Pick a city from the list. |
| "Location not found. Turn location on or type the address." | The phone could not give your position. | Turn on location on the phone, or type the address. |
| **Location blocked** | You refused location for DriveGo. | Allow it in the browser settings, or type the address. |
| "This number is not valid for Morocco." | The number does not match the chosen country code. | Check the code or the number of digits. |
| "The search failed." | The list could not load. | Tap **Retry**. |
