# Install the DriveGo app

> Install DriveGo on the home screen of an Android phone, an iPhone or a computer, without an app store. It then opens full screen.

DriveGo opens in the browser and can be installed on your home screen. Once installed, it has its own icon, opens full screen without the address bar, starts faster and keeps your last screens readable without a signal. There is nothing to download from an app store.

## When the app offers to install

You do not have to look for the option: DriveGo offers it as soon as you have seen one useful screen, on the first scroll of the home page or the first change of screen. On a phone, a sheet opens at the bottom of the screen; on a computer, a card appears in a corner.

**The “Install DriveGo” sheet (Android and computer)**

**After you act:** if you confirm, the DriveGo icon appears on your home screen and in your list of apps. If you tap **Later** or close the sheet, it does not come back for **14 days**, and it is never offered more than **3 times** in total. If DriveGo is already installed and opened from its icon, the sheet never appears.

**The “Add DriveGo to your Home Screen” sheet (iPhone and iPad)**

**After you act:** the DriveGo icon is on your home screen. The same rules apply: 14 days between two offers, 3 times at most.

## Steps

1. Open [drivego.thesuperplatform.com](https://drivego.thesuperplatform.com) in the browser: Chrome on Android, Safari on iPhone and iPad, Chrome or Edge on a computer.
2. Scroll the home page or open a screen. The install sheet appears.
3. On Android and on a computer, tap **Install**, then confirm in the browser's window.
4. On iPhone and iPad, follow the three steps of the sheet, then tap **Got it**.
5. Open DriveGo from its new icon. The app shows full screen.

> On iPhone and iPad, notifications only work for an app installed on the home screen. While DriveGo is open in Safari, the app tells you: "On iPhone, add DriveGo to your Home Screen first to receive notifications." ## On a computer

On a computer, DriveGo opens in its own window and appears among your apps. It shows a navigation bar on the left instead of the bar at the bottom of the screen.

## What happens next

- DriveGo opens from its icon, full screen.
- Screens you have already viewed stay readable without a signal, with the time of their last update. See [offline mode](https://docs.drivego.thesuperplatform.com/en/reference/offline).
- When a new version is ready, the message "A new version is available." appears. Tap **Update**.
- You can then [turn on notifications](https://docs.drivego.thesuperplatform.com/en/getting-started/notifications) and [Face ID or fingerprint sign-in](https://docs.drivego.thesuperplatform.com/en/getting-started/face-id).

## Troubleshooting

| Situation | Explanation | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| The install sheet does not appear | You turned it down less than 14 days ago, or 3 times already, or DriveGo is already installed. | Use the browser menu to install the app, or open DriveGo from its icon. |
| On iPhone, there is no **Install** button | Safari does not offer direct installation. | Follow the three steps of the **Add DriveGo to your Home Screen** sheet. |
| The icon opens in the browser | The shortcut was created as a simple bookmark. | Delete the shortcut and install again from Safari or Chrome. |
| Your browser does not offer installation | Some browsers cannot install a web app. | Use Chrome on Android and computers, Safari on iPhone. DriveGo stays usable in the browser. |
