# Add a car from the catalogue

> Add a car in three steps: choose the brand, model, year and version in the catalogue, complete the basic info, then the specs, photos and price.

To add a car, you start from a model in the DriveGo catalogue: brand, model, year, version, transmission and fuel. The specs are then filled in for you and DriveGo offers a **Suggested price** per day, which you keep or change. If your car is not in the catalogue, tap **Create without a model** and enter everything yourself.

The **Add a car** screen has three steps, shown at the top: **Model**, **Basic info**, **Specs and photos**.

## Steps

1. In **Fleet**, tap **Add a car**.
2. **Model:** tap the brand in the logo grid (or search it), then the model in the list.
3. Choose the **Year**, **Version**, **Transmission** and **Fuel**. Read the **Suggested price**, then tap **Use this model**.
4. **Basic info:** check the make, model and year filled in for you, enter the **Plate number**, then the car's site, city and location. Tap **Next: specs**.
5. **Specs and photos:** check transmission, fuel, seats and doors, enter the mileage, deposit and your **Price per day**, tick the equipment and add the photos.
6. Leave **Create a price for this car at this amount** ticked if you want the car bookable straight away at that price.
7. Tap **Add the car**.

**The brand's models**

**After the action:** the screen shows the model's year, version, transmission and fuel choices. Without a result: "No model found for this brand."

**Year, version and suggested price**

## Create without a model

**Basic info without a model**

This step has no separate screenshot: it follows Basic info on the same screen.

**After you save:** "Dacia Logan is added". "It is available. Check that your prices cover its category so it shows in searches." Three buttons: **View the car**, **Check prices**, **Add another car**. If the price box was ticked, an individual price for any duration is created at your amount.

## What happens next

- The car is created with the Available status.
- Customers see it as soon as a price covers it and the agency is verified.
- The suggested price is only a help: only your price counts for customers.

## Troubleshooting

| Message | Cause | What to do |

| "This plate is already registered." | A car already has this plate. | Check what you typed. |
| "Invalid plate. Example: 12345-A-6." | The format is not recognised. | Fix the plate. |
| "The car is added, but the price could not be created. Add it in Pricing." | The price failed after the car was created. | Add the price in [Pricing](https://docs.drivego.thesuperplatform.com/en/guides/agency/pricing-rules). |
| "Catalogue unavailable, manual entry" | The catalogue is not responding right now. | Enter the car yourself or try again later. |
| "No suggestion for this choice" | No suggested price for this combination. | Set your price yourself. |
