Manage the agency's insurance policies

An agency insurance policy is what the agency pays an insurer to cover its cars. It is a cost. Do not confuse it with the insurance fees the agency charges its customers for each car, which are revenue and are managed in Car insurance fees.

Steps

1. Open More, then Insurance. The Insurance policies screen lists each policy with its insurer, cover, dates and status.
2. Tap Add a policy. Enter the insurer, the policy number, the cover type, the start date and the end date.
3. Enter the premium, how often it is paid and the excess.
4. Choose the cars covered by this policy and attach the contract.
5. Tap Save. Open a policy later to see Policy details.

Insurance policies

After you save: the policy you open shows in Policy details. Policies that are expiring soon or have expired also appear as alerts on the dashboard.

Policy details (form)

After you save: the policy appears in the list with its calculated status. The premium is recorded in the agency's accounts and counts in the insurance cost in Finance. The covered cars show the policy at the top of their insurance fees.

Who sees and does what

What happens next

• The agency's managers receive the "Insurance expiring" notification 30 days, 7 days and 1 day before the end date.
• A car's active policy can be quoted in an accident file.
