Prepare the car

Before you hand over a car, you check it is ready with a twelve-point list. It takes a few minutes, is saved on your phone as you go and works without a network. As long as a required point is not settled, the pickup cannot be completed.

Steps

1. In the task details, after marking your arrival, tap Start preparation.
2. For each point, choose Done, Issue or N/A.
3. If you choose Issue, add a Note and, if useful, a photo with Add a photo.
4. Follow the counter at the top of the screen, for example "9 of 12".
5. When every point is filled in, tap Continue to inspection.

After you save: the list is attached to the pickup, the task moves to Inspection in progress and the time is added to the timeline your manager reads. Offline, the list waits in the sync centre as "Checklist".

Your manager chooses which points are required when giving you the task. By default, all twelve are.

Done, Issue or N/A

• Done: the point is checked and fine.
• Issue: the point is not fine. Describe it in the note. A blocking issue, such as a warning light, should also be reported with Report an issue so the manager is told straight away. See Pickups and returns.
• N/A: the point does not apply to this car.

To complete the pickup, every required point must be Done or N/A. A point left on Issue must be fixed, then set back to Done.

Automatic saving

Each choice is kept on your phone half a second after you make it. If you leave the screen, the app closes or the battery dies, you find the list where you left it. Photos are reduced and kept on the phone as soon as they are taken, before any upload.

What happens next

• The completed list appears in the Checklist tab of the details your manager reads.
• The task waits for your pickup inspection. See Inspections.
