Pricing rules
Set your prices per car or per category, by duration and customer type, with discounts and negotiated prices for a company. DriveGo never shows a price of zero.
A pricing rule says how much a car costs per day, for which duration, for which type of customer and over which period. For every price request, DriveGo picks the most precise rule on its own. The owner and the agency manager create and change rules; the finance manager and the fleet manager can read them. Employees never see prices.
Steps
- Open More › Pricing and tap Add a rule.
- Choose the scope: one specific car, a category, or neither for the agency's fallback price.
- Choose the customer type. For a negotiated price, choose Specific company and then the company.
- Enter the duration band, for example 1 to 3 days, 4 to 7, 8 to 30, 31 and more.
- Enter the price per day, then if needed the weekly and monthly prices and the discount.
- Set the validity period and the priority, and leave Active ticked.
- Tap Save. Repeat for each duration band.

Pricing rule
| Field | Required | Values or format | Example | What it means |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rule list | One line per rule: scope, customer, duration, price, state | SUV, Individual, 1 to 3 days, MAD 450 / day | All the agency's rules. Tap a rule to change it. | |
| Add a rule | Button | Opens the form. Visible to the owner and the agency manager. | ||
| Car | No | A car from the fleet | Dacia Logan, 12345-A-6 | The rule only applies to this car. |
| Category | No | Economy, Compact, Sedan, SUV, Luxury, Van, Pickup, Electric, Commercial | SUV | The rule applies to every car of this category. With neither car nor category, it is the agency's fallback price. |
| City | No | A city | Casablanca | The rule only applies to a pickup in this city. Empty: every city. |
| Customer type | Yes | Individual, Company, Specific company | Specific company | Who the price is for. |
| Company | Yes if Specific company | A company customer | Atlas Logistics SARL | The company that gets the negotiated price. |
| Minimum duration | Yes | Number of days | 1 | Start of the duration band. |
| Maximum duration | No | Number of days, at least the minimum | 3 | End of the band. Empty: no limit. |
| Price per day | Yes | Positive amount | MAD 450 | The base price. A price of zero is never used. |
| Price per week | No | Amount | MAD 2,800 | Used from 7 days. |
| Price per month | No | Amount | MAD 10,500 | Used from 30 days, ahead of the weekly price. |
| Discount | No | Percentage | 10 | Shown as "Duration discount" for an individual, "Company discount" for a company. |
| Valid from, to | No | Dates | 1 June to 31 August | Compared with the pickup date. Empty: no limit. |
| Priority | No | Number, 0 by default | 10 | Breaks the tie between two equally precise rules: the highest wins. |
| Active | Yes | Ticked or not | Ticked | An inactive rule is ignored. |
| Save | Button | Saves the rule. | ||
| Remove | Button | Deletes the rule. Bookings already made do not change. |
After you save: new price requests use the rule at once. Existing bookings never change: their price is fixed when they are made. The "from" price on search cards is recalculated. A Specific company rule appears in that company's Pricing offers, and the company receives a notification.
How DriveGo picks the rule
DriveGo first keeps the active rules, valid on the pickup date, whose band contains the requested duration. Then it takes the first one that matches, in this order, from the most precise to the most general:
- Negotiated price for this company and this car
- Negotiated price for this company and this category
- Company price for this car
- Company price for this category
- Individual price for this car
- Individual price for this category
- The agency's fallback price
An individual can only get levels 5 to 7. A company goes through all seven levels: with no company price, it pays the individual price. When two rules are equally precise, the higher priority wins, then the most recent rule.
Illustrative example in MAD
An agency has three rules for its SUVs, with no discount, all valid for 1 to 7 days:
| Rule | For whom | Scope | Price per day |
|---|---|---|---|
| A | Atlas Logistics SARL (specific company) | SUV category | MAD 380 |
| B | Individual | SUV category | MAD 450 |
| C | Individual | Fallback price | MAD 500 |
For 3 days with an SUV:
| Who books | Rule used | Rental price |
|---|---|---|
| Atlas Logistics SARL | A, level 2 | MAD 380 × 3 = MAD 1,140 |
| Another company | B, level 6 (no company price) | MAD 450 × 3 = MAD 1,350 |
| An individual | B, level 6 | MAD 450 × 3 = MAD 1,350 |
Rule C is only used for a car with neither a car rule nor a category rule. More examples, with weekly and monthly prices, are in the pricing engine.
Troubleshooting
| Situation | Cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| A car is not offered for 10 days | No band covers 10 days. | Add a band, or leave the last band's maximum empty. |
| A company sees the individual price | No Company or Specific company price covers this car and duration. | Add a Company or Specific company price. |
| A rule is never applied | Inactive, out of validity, another city, or a more precise rule wins. | Check those fields, or raise the priority between equally precise rules. |
| Add a rule is missing | Only the owner and the agency manager change prices. | Ask them. |
